size 55 and 70 feet in height for size 70, when the pole is in the ground to a depth of 12 feet. The pole puller and jack shall have a lifting force of not less than 40,000 pounds and shall be capable
of vertically lifting the pole not less than 15 inches per cycle. A pole pulling chain, base plate, and controls shall be provided. The jack shall be operated from the outlet in the curbside
compartment specified in 3.13. The hoses specified in 3.13.1 shall be utilized. Means shall be provided to secure the pole puller and jack on the vehicle.
3.13.3 Hydraulic tamper. A hydraulically operated tamper shall be furnished. The tamper shall be capable of tamping the earth around a pole when the pole is 12 feet in the ground. The tamper shall be capable of delivering a force of not less than 25 pounds at not less than 1,200 impacts per minute. A hydraulic control shall be furnished. The tamper shall be operated from the ground tool outlet specified in 3.13 using the hydraulic hoses specified in
3.13.1. Provisions shall be made for stowage and securing of the tamper in a body cabinet compartment.
3.13.4 Hydraulic capstan hoist. When specified (see 6.2), a hydraulic capstan hoist shall be furnished. The hoist shall be equipped with quick disconnect, dripless fittings and shall
