MIL-T-62110G
3.3.3 Height and reach. The derrick shall provide for hydraulically powered movement from horizontal to not less than 75 degrees above horizontal and return, continuous rotation about a vertical axis in both directions, and telescopic extension and retraction. For each telescoping section position listed in table III at not more than the corresponding angle specified in table III, the derrick height, from the ground to the centerline of the upper head sheave, shall be not less than that specified in table III. The basket floor to ground height shall be not less than specified in table III.
3.3.4 Vertical loads. For each telescoping section position listed in table III, the derrick shall be capable of suspending, on the winch line over the upper head sheave, the corresponding load at not more than the specified angle and at all greater angles attainable. The derrick shall be capable of elevating from and lowering back to the angle specified with the load but shall be incapable of elevating from a horizontal position with loads that would result in permanent deformation. The derrick shall be capable of retracting (from extended positions) and returning back to extended position with the load. All operations of rotating, elevating or lowering, and extending or retracting shall be possible singly and in all combinations, all while both loaded and unloaded. Operations as specified above shall be possible at all rotational positions of the
derrick without any vehicle wheel leaving the ground and without the permanent deformation of any part.
