(d) Wiring for the body shall be in accordance with the applicable portion of the General Section, SAE 11292 and all wiring exposed to possible physical damage, such as wiring on a compartment floor, or wiring where tools or materials may cause the wire to be frayed or shorted, shall be protected by the use of heavy wall thermoplastic conduit or steel conduit having waterproof connections. Grommets shall be used for all wiring going through any hole or body framework
(e) An amber, rotating, vehicular warning light, in accordance with MS 51317-4, shall be provided. The rotating light shall be mounted with reinforcement at the point of attachment on or near the left front corner of the cab guard for 360-degree visibility. The rotating light shall be operated by means of a separate switch, with red indicator light located on the instrument panel and marked to indicate the function of the switch
(f) A demountable projecting load light shall be furnished on the end of the boom, with
service line and socket, when the end of the boom extends beyond the rear of the vehicle. A receptacle on the rear of the body for the light shall be provided. The light shall be in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation 393.18.
3.5 Attached accessories.
* 3.5.5.1 Vise. A vise shall be provided. The vise shall have nominal 3-inch hardened replaceable general material jaws and hardened replaceable pipe jaws. The vise shall be of the swivel type and shall be bolted to the right rear corner of the platform extension.
3.5.5.2 Water cask. When specified (see 6.2), a standard commercial 11.4 L (3-gallon)
insulated potable water cask shall be furnished. The inside liner shall be stainless steel or
non-toxic poly material. The outside shell shall be galvanized steel or equivalent. The throat area shall be of sufficient size to allow cleaning the interior of the water cask. A nylon or brass chrome-plated spigot, flush mounted to damage, shall be furnished. Lugs and bracket(s) shall be provided to mount the cask (see 3.5.3.1). Means shall be provided to retain the water cask and to minimize its vibration during road travel. Means shall be provided to drain excess water to the ground. A cup dispenser for dispensing 177 milliliter (ml) (6 ounce) cold vending cups shall be furnished. The dispenser shall be installed in the cabinet in a location accessible from the water cask.
3.5.5.3 Portable gasoline engine driven generator. When specified (see 6.2), a portable gasoline engine driven generator shall be furnished. The generator shall have a power rating of
120/240 volts, 60 hertz, single phase, 3-wire and shall provide not less than 3500 W. The
generator and its circuitry shall conform to NFPA No. 70. Tiedown devices to secure the generator to the left front of the loadspace floor shall be furnished.
