insulation. Speaker volume controls shall be securely mounted and conveniently located for the operator.
3.7.17 Exhaust fan installation. Exhaust fans shall be securely mounted in proper locations. The exhaust fans shall be installed and fitted free of gaps, openings, exposed electrical wiring or exposed insulation. The exhaust discharge mounting in the vehicle exterior panels
shall be fitted and sealed to be rainproof and waterproof. The exterior sealing shall be neat in
appearance and free of sloppy application. The exhaust fans shall operate free of vibrations, rattles and undue noises.
3.7.18 Awning installation. When applicable (see 3.5.15), the awning assemblies shall be securely installed. The installation shall provide sufficient support to the awnings when extended. The awning assemblies shall be installed in a uniform and level position. The support rods shall be free of dents, kinks and other types of damage or deformation. The awning
material shall be of durable material, free of rips, tears, frayed edges, stains and color fade. The
awning assemblies shall be capable of operation without binding, hang-ups or interference through the entire range of the extended position and the roll-up position.
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.
4.2 Government verification. Quality assurance operations performed by the contractor will be subject to Government verification at unscheduled intervals. Verification will consist of observation of the operations to determine that practices, methods and procedures of the contractor's inspection are being properly applied. Failure of the contractor to promptly correct product deficiencies discovered shall be cause for suspension of acceptance until correction has been made or until conformance of product to specification criteria has been demonstrated.
