MIL-V-62347(AT)
4.7.5 Welding repairs and burning test. To determine conformance to 3.4.8, all welding repairs and burning operations shall be examined to determine that slag has been removed and approved procedures have been followed.
4.7.6 Controls test. To determine conformance to 3.4.9, 3.6.12.9.2.2 and 3.6.12.9.2.3, all electrical, mechanical and hydraulic controls shall be operated and functional performance demonstrated. The hand controller shall be moved in azimuth/elevation to verify no indication of binding through maximum deflections in azimuth/elevation and smoothness, and continuous mechanical operation of the nightsight controls shall be demonstrated.
4.7.7 Hydraulic system test. To determine conformance to 3.4.10, and 3.6.12.7.3 the hydraulic systems shall be operated, examined for leakage in excess of a "seep" condition
(see 6.6), the hydraulic reservoir examined for correct fluid level, and it shall be verified that the
accumulator precharge pressure is not less than 900 psi nor greater than 1100 psi. It shall be verified that internal leakage and resultant system pressure loss does not exceed specified limits by verifying that the time interval between hydraulic pump motor activation when the
M90l weapon station is powered up but not active, is not less than 7 minutes. System shall have
been temperature stabilized prior to examining for internal leakage.
4.7.8 Weight test. To determine conformance to 3.4.11, the combat loaded vehicle shall be weighed.
4.7.9 Stowed equipment test. To determine conformance to 3.4.12, all manufacturer and depot installed BII, including the hard equipment items listed in 3.4.12.1, shall be stored (combat loaded) on the selected vehicle. All interior and exterior items shall fit in spaces provided, and shall not interfere with operation of the vehicle and components in any way. The equipment shall be removed after the test. The BII used shall be of the latest production available. It shall be permissible to unpackage and repackage equipment used for test.
4.7.10 Environmental tests. To determine conformance to 3.6.1.1 and 3.6.1.2, the vehicles shall be operated in specified environments and observed for performance requirements.
4.7.11 Bilge pump operational test. To determine conformance to 3.6.2, with sufficient water in the vehicle hull, the bilge pumps shall be operated and observed for functional requirements.
4.7.12 Speed test. To determine conformance to 3.6.3, the vehicle shall be driven at speeds up to the specified maximum and observed for performance requirements.
4.7.13 Acceleration test. To determine conformance to 3.6.4, the vehicle shall be operated as specified to determine acceleration time from 0 to 20 mph.
