3.4.15 Accessories and equipment. Chassis equipment shall be complete with all accessories furnished as standard equipment by the manufacturer. Control, identification and illumination shall conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 101. The following minimum equipment shall be furnished:
a. Key-operated ignition switch. Keys for door(s) and ignition shall be keyed alike. b. Ammeter and voltmeter.
c. Fuel gage.
d. Oil pressure gage with warning light.
e. Air pressure gage with warning light and audible system. f. Engine temperature gage with warning light.
g. Speedometer in mph and in kilometers and with recording odometer in mph and in kilometers.
h. Tachometer. (may be combined with g). i. Sunvisor.
J. Hydraulic fifth wheel elevating and descending controls.
k. Fifth wheel lock and unlock mechanism located inside the vehicle cab and accessible to
the seated driver. Fifth wheel lock and unlock mechanism shall be provided with a guard or a means to prevent accidental actuation of these controls.
l. Power take-off control.
m. Front door mounted armrest on driver's side.
n. Driver's compartment ventilator other than window(s) by driver's feet. o. Flood lamp switches.
p. Heat and oil gages or warning devices recommended by the transmission manufacturer.
3.4.16 Rearview mirrors. Outside rearview mirrors, each with supporting arms, shall be mounted on the street side of the cab and on the curb side of the vehicle. The curbside mirror shall be mounted on square tubing and braced to preclude vibration. Each mirror shall have not less than 80 square inches of reflective surface. Mirrors shall be capable of folding toward the vehicle cab. An inside rearview mirror shall be furnished. Mirrors shall conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Standard No. 111.
3.4.17 Horn. Manufacturer's standard electric and air horn shall be furnished.
3.4.18 Engine hour meter. An engine hour meter having a totalizing mechanism of not less than 9,999 hours shall be furnished for the chassis engine to register accurately the number of hours of operating time. The meter shall be of rugged construction to insure continuous trouble- free performance under severe operating conditions. Engine hour meter shall be mounted on the instrument panel.
