MIL-T-62145E
4.4.4.9 Hoist stability. During all tests, the hoist shall provide sufficient structural strength to prevent shifting laterally or fore and aft, without evidence of undue lateral flexing of the structure and without evidence of wear due to binding of the hoist members.
4.4.4.10 Controls. Controls shall be operated and shall meet or exceed the requirements of
3.5.6.8, 3.5.6.9 and, when applicable, 3.4.25, 3.4.26, 3.5.6.10 and 3.6.10.
4.4.4.11 Hydraulic system verification. The hydraulic system shall be thoroughly inspected to assure that the requirements of 3.5.6 through 3.5.6.10 and 3.6.10 are met.
4.4.4.12 Body electrical system. The body electrical system shall be inspected to assure conformance to 3.5.4 through 3.5.5.6.
4.4.5 Servicing and adjustment of the hydraulic system. Servicing and adjustment of the hydraulic system shall be demonstrated as specified in 3.5.6.
4.4.6 Final road test. A final road test shall be performed after the tests of 4.4.4.5 through
4.4.4.12 have been completed. The road test shall be as specified in 4.4.2, except the minimum distance shall be 10 miles.
4.4.6.1 Final operation test. A final operational test shall be performed subsequent to the road test in 4.4.6. The body shall be fully elevated and retracted with a uniformly distributed full payload (see table II) for not less than 30 cycles, with a 30-minute interval between each
10 cycles. The body assembly shall be subjected to, but not limited to, the following checks:
(a) Controls activate when the neutral switch is not activated, when the transmission is in neutral
(b) Controls return to neutral position when the operator releases the control
(c) Both controls conform to 3.5.6.8 and 3.5.6.9.
(d) Operate equipment using each set of controls separately
(e) Check to insure that the entire system can be operated smoothly and without jerking
motions in any position
(f) Check to determine whether the body can be safely lowered, from maximum reach
position, with rated payload, with the hydraulic pump and engine not operating
(g) Check the hydraulic system, including the pump at 10 percent above the pump
manufacturer's maximum operating pressure setting for normal workload conditions.
4.5 Production sample. Upon acceptance of the first production vehicle, the vehicle shall remain at the manufacturing facility as a production sample and shall be the last vehicle shipped
