MILITARY SPECIFICATION TRUCKS, CARGO: DIESEL OR GASOLINE
ENGINE DRIVEN, 19,000 TO 24,000 POUNDS GVW, 4X2 AND 4X4, COMMERCIAL
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the
Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
* 1.1 Scope. This specification covers diesel or gasoline engine driven, four-wheel,
two-rear-wheel drive, and four-wheel, four-wheel drive cargo trucks, having minimum gross
vehicle weights (GVW) of 19,000 to 24,000 pounds, for normal operating conditions. The vehicles procured under this specification are commercial items which shall be warranted by the manufacturer as specified in acquisition documents.
1.2 Vehicle classification. The vehicle shall be one of the classes and models shown in table I, as specified (see 6.2):
