MILITARY SPECIFICATION TRUCKS, MAINTENANCE: WITH ROTATING
HYDRAULIC DERRICK, 32,000 TO 44,500 GVW,
4x2, 4x4, 6x4 AND 6x6, COMMERCIAL
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the
Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers maintenance trucks with a rotating and telescoping hydraulic derrick. Vehicles procured under this specification are commercial items which are warranted by the manufacturer as specified in acquisition documents.
1.2 Classification. The vehicle shall be one of the types, models, classes, and sizes shown in table I, as specified (see 6.2). The model of the vehicle shall be determined by the number of wheels and number of driving wheels. The size of the vehicle shall be the length of the pole that the derrick shall be capable of setting.
