MILITARY SPECIFICATION
TRUCK, PANEL: POLICE PATROL CONVERSION,
8,000 POUNDS GVW, 4x2, COMMERCIAL
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the
Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers a gasoline engine driven, four-wheel, two-rear wheel drive, forward control type, commercial panel or window van truck converted to a police patrol wagon with a rear compartment for confined occupants. The vehicles have a minimum gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 8,000 pounds. Vehicles procured under this specification are commercial items which are warranted by the manufacturer as specified in acquisition documents.
