MILITARY SPECIFICATION
* TRUCKS, MAINTENANCE: EARTH AUGER, TURNTABLE BASE, DIESEL ENGINE DRIVEN,
28,000 POUNDS GVW, 4X4, MODIFIED COMMERCIAL
This specification is approved for use by the US Army Tank-Automotive Command, Department of the Army, and is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
* 1.1 Scope. This specification covers an earth auger with a turntable, mounted on a diesel engine driven, four wheel, four wheel drive, modified commercial truck chassis having a minimum gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 28,000 pounds for normal operating conditions. Vehicles procured under this specification are commercial items which are warranted by the manufacturer as specified in acquisition documents.
